Mémora has launched this week a new service that can send the ashes of deceased into the stratosphere and will be available from January 2015.

As he detailed the group, part of –150-200 gramos– ashes are placed in a tube similar to that used for scientific experiments helium balloon, which will amount to about 35,000 meters after a journey of ascent over an hour.

When it reaches this altitude and due to the lack of atmospheric pressure, the balloon breaks and the ashes remain suspended in the stratosphere.

The balloon includes a capsule containing a camera, a radio transmitter and a GPS locator for the family of the deceased can view the entire balloon ascension process until its disintegration.
