Zuckerberg will donate 99 percent of its shares in Facebook to charity – Yahoo Finance Spain

SAN FRANCISCO / Bangalore (Reuters) – The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, and his wife said they plan to give 99 percent of his fortune in shares the company into a new charity that will create together, while announced the birth of their first child.

In making the announcement, Zuckerberg said the company said it would sell or give away up to 1,000 million dollars of its shares in each of the next three years. At current market prices, their titles at the firm would now be worth nearly 45,000 million.

Zuckerberg, 31, said he will maintain voting control for the “foreseeable future.”

Facebook founder and his wife also announced the birth of his daughter named Max.

“Priscilla and I are very happy to welcome our daughter Max into the world”, said Zuckerberg in a post on Facebook
