LINE includes encrypted messages – CCM

The messaging application has decided to encrypt all messages of its users to increase the security of the platform.
 

(CCM) – In recent months, the privacy and security of shared messages messaging applications has become a priority for their creators. Apps as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger already decided to make the leap to encrypted messages sent by their users. LINE has decided to follow the footsteps of these applications and has included the same protection system.
 

Last year, LINE had added the ability to encrypt messages optionally, so it was mandatory to enable this option in the setup menu. It was also necessary that the receiving user messages have also enabled this parameter to the talks were encrypted. Now instead, all messages will be protected automatically, without requiring any further manipulation.
 

As the company explained in a statement, LINE continue “taking the necessary measures to ensure security” platform, as well as the privacy of its users. To enable automatic encryption of messages, simply update the application to its latest version, either Android or iOS .
