Asteroid will pass close to Earth – ElHeraldo.hn

Tegucigalpa, Honduras

A small asteroid designated 2014 RC and 20 meters in diameter, will pass through the neighborhood Sunday Earth.

The storm will approach just about 34,000 miles from the surface of our planet (one tenth of the Earth-Moon distance), according to calculations by the Object Program Near Earth (NEOP, for its acronym in English) of NASA.

Hondurans may not witness the passage of the asteroid as this will move close to our planet approximately 18:18 hours (UT), which will be 2:18 pm in Honduras, which means that we will be facing the Sun when the asteroid makes its displacement by the party who is of the earth at night.

As has rated the degree of impact on our planet in the Torino scale is zero. That means that the asteroid 2014 RC does not represent any danger to the planet Earth.
