Sales of the new Galaxy Samsung Electronics S6 far exceed those of his predecessors, as predicted today the South Korean technology giant on the eve of the global launch of its new “smartphone” insignia.
The company expects sales in 2015 S6 “are much higher compared to the Galaxy S5 last year and the previous model (S4),” said Shin Jong-Kyun, director of the division mobile phone Samsung Electronics at an event in Seoul to anticipate the release of the new device.
The Samsung executive declined to give an estimated number of “smartphones” that projected market worldwide, in line with company policy not to disclose this type of data on sales of its figure devices.
So far, the Galaxy S4, launched in 2013- has been the best selling phone of the South Korean firm with about 70 million units estimated, while the Galaxy S5 marketed since last year has received a mixed reception public, although the number of handsets sold is unknown.
The Galaxy S6 and their Edge version that seeks to win over consumers with innovative design borderless screen, will go on sale tomorrow in 20 countries including South Korea, Spain, United States, United Kingdom and Germany, and in the following days will expand to other regions.
Among the new features include the wireless battery charging or mobile payment system Samsung Pay as well as a faster and a more advanced camera, plus aluminum and glass coating which many critics liken Apple’s iPhone.
The manager of Samsung also said today that the offer of Galaxy S6 Edge in the market will be limited at first due to the complicated technology that requires your design.
Many experts believe that the medium-term future of Samsung depends largely on the success or failure of the Galaxy S6, as the company seeks to regain lost market share in the last year for Apple and Chinese manufacturers.
