Spies report that Facebook users still without being … – TransMedia.cl

Drafting TransMedia.cl 02.04.15.- A research report published by the British newspaper The Independent suggests that the social network Facebook intentionally installed on computers cookies to track users.

This action allows you to spy on your web browsing, even if you have left your Facebook account, if the have been removed or if specifically requested were not followed.

These scholars claim that the social network is in breach of European law with monitoring policies which states that users should be aware of if their computers are getting cookies except in specific circumstances.

The monitoring by Facebook is to place cookies or small pieces of software on users’ computers and then make tracking your web history.

Currently many websites are also using these mechanisms, but in fact the European legislation prohibits, as users should always know if they are being tracked.

Facebook denies the allegations in the report picked up by The Independent charging that the report contains errors and that researchers have never contacted them or have tried to clarify all assumptions on which the report is based.

This new report adds to the Agency by the Belgian Data Protection ensuring Facebook Spy web browsing of thousands of people, even if they have an account on the social network.

Facebook be perhaps a new “Big Brother” or reflection live what George Orwell predicted in his book “1984 “
