June 10, 2015, 12:10 Madrid, June 10 (PL) Spanish paleontologists found in Galve clay mine in Teruel, the fossil remains of a new species of dinosaurs 127 million years ago, which named it Iguanodon galvensis. (PLRadio)

In the study, published in the journal Cretaceous Research, scientists say that the found remains belong to an adult, another youth and 13 young. The latter were in their first year of life and were about 60 centimeters long, still far from reaching six meters adults.

According to the researchers the new species is distinguished by a special character in the skull and a short and abrupt in the anterior region of the jaw convexity.

This, they said, of the second species of Iguanodon recognized by the scientific community. It is also the fifth family of dinosaur found in Galve and the tenth of the province of Teruel.

The condition of the bones indicates that all these extinct animals were dying together.

The paleontologists suggest that the pups were probably close to the nest, where they could be controlled by their parents
