Huawei launches new smartphone Mate S – The Economist

The phone company China’s Huawei introduced its new smartphone, Mate S, landing in the market for high-tech mobile devices, currently dominated by Apple and Samsung giants.

The Chinese company Huawei Technologies announced on Wednesday its new smart phone, landing in the market for high-tech mobile devices, currently dominated by Apple and Samsung Electronics giants.

Mate S phone, launched in the margins of the largest electronics show in Europe, IFA Berlin, has a 5.5 inch screen, 13 megapixel camera and fingerprint technology.

Huawei says that it is one of the first smartphones to include a Force Touch screen technology that can distinguish pressure levels pressed, allowing access to more functions just by touching them firmer.

Apple is also expected to launch iPhones with Touch technology Force next week.
