Have you already upgraded your Windows 10? The “Anniversary Update” marks the first year since the operating system officially out of Redmond, and is the biggest upgrade to date. Here are 12 new tricks you can try on your machine with the latest version of Windows.
1) switch to the dark theme
Paint your Windows 10 in black with a simple click. The dark theme was already available as a hidden feature in Microsoft’s operating system, but now it is completely official. Go to Settings and then select Customize and Color to find the new option. Makes dialog boxes and (some) universal applications become dark, and if you’re on a laptop might even help you save battery power.
2) Start Sign in applications with your face
Do you remember Windows Hello? It allows you to use your beautiful facial features to log on to Windows (say “hello” is optional). Well, the Anniversary Update has extended this option to applications, whether applications decide to use it. So far only a few have done so, including Dropbox, but that number should grow over time. It also works on the web through Microsoft Edge.
3) Check the music from the lock screen

6) Translate text and set tabs in microsoft Edge
Another new feature of Edge, which is really just an extension of Microsoft- translator is the ability to switch between different languages when you’re browsing the web. You can also set tabs, as did any other browser in the world. right-click on a tab and select Set to dock on the left side of the bar
7) Send indications map to your phone
Microsoft programs and services are rapidly expanding across Android and iOS, and Cortana is leading the battle. With the new update of Windows 10 you can ask Cortana to give you directions on the map, as always, but now these indications are automatically sent to Cortana on Android or iOS if you have the application installed and use the same credentials for Microsoft.
8) Receive alerts for Android in Windows 10
Speaking of Android, you can now configure Cortana to send notifications from your phone directly to your desktop or laptop, so you do not have to divide your attention between two devices. Install the app, sign in with your Windows account and select the Sync notifications from the menu of the app. You can also individually select the applications you want to sync.
9) Give priority to certain apps in the notifications
