The American company Uber announced today its intention to maintain its controversial Active transport service in Germany despite the recent ban of the regional court in Frankfurt.
“Uber continue its activity in Germany and will continue to offer options ‘UberPop’ and ‘UberBlack’ through apliaciones Uber” , reported the company based in San Francisco.
The Frankfurt Regional Court issued a référé throughout Germany banning the controversial issue of Internet Uber, that allows individuals to connect drivers with passengers. Violations are punishable by detention or a fine of up to 250,000 euros.
“It was never a good idea to restrict the possibilities of population selection” , Uber said. “We believe that innovation and competitiveness is good for everyone.’s A benefit for the driver and passengers. Unable to stop progress,” he added.
Uber resource called the German court as “unfair” and announced that it will use all legal means to lift the ban as a result of a lawsuit filed by the group of German drivers.
The American company is active, according to their own data, in more than 200 cities, among which include Paris, Brussels and Barcelona and about 50 American cities. In Germany it was present so far in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Düsseldorf and its planned introduction in seven other German cities over the short term.
