LONDON, March 20 (Xinhua) – Millions of people across the UK witnessed a rare solar eclipse this morning
The eclipse in United Kingdom reached its peak around 09:35 GMT, and reached its entirety at 09:41 GMT.
The eclipse was at least 83 percent in most parts of UK, although not very clearly due to cloudy weather. Londoners lost the rare opportunity to see the eclipse, a phenomenon that will not be repeated on this scale until 2026, according to the Royal Astronomical Society in London
Cornwall witnessed the moment at 09.: 23 GMT, and North Shetland Islands at 09:43 GMT where the eclipse was 97 percent.
The partial solar eclipse in Edinburgh started at 08:30 GMT and ended at . 10:44 GMT
