07/02/2013 (The People’s Daily Online) – According to local news, chambers of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter NASA just discovered an awesome new crater on Mars

The images show a giant scar extending over 30 meters in length, surrounded by signs of a kind of radial explosion. The swipe occurred sometime between July 2010 and May 2012.

The researchers used the Imaging Science Experiment High Resolution (HiRISE) camera on the orbiter to examine the place, since another chamber of the apparatus revealed a change in the appearance of the surface between observations from July 2010 to May 2012.

Based on the apparent changes before and after images of lower resolution, the HiRISE researchers used to acquire this new photo on November 19, 2013. Because the land on which the crater formed is dusty, the scar appears blue in color enhancement of the image, due to the elimination of red dust in that area.

The Researchers believe that the impact must have been spectacular, and the debris thrown outwards during the formation of the crater-ejecta-, totaled 15 miles.
