Dropbox stores over 35,000 million Office documents, including presentations and spreadsheets. Hence, the service has accepted the alliance with Microsoft, competition by OneDrive.
“Soon, you’ll be able to access Dropbox from Office applications and edit them in the Dropbox app,” the company said in its blog .
These functions begin to be available to users of iOS and Android in a few weeks, Dropbox said, adding that in 2015 the same can be done from your site and Office Online.
The intention is also launching a Dropbox app for Windows Phone in the coming months.
Dropbox said its app let you edit Office documents and sync them to open them on any device.
In addition the Office app allow you to access and store files online Dropbox.
Finally, users can share links to Dropbox from Office. “When you’re done you can share a document by sending a Dropbox link to colleagues and friends,” said the company.
