Dawn spacecraft approaches the dwarf planet Ceres – Azteca News

Los Angeles, EUA.- The ship Dawn NASA planned to enter orbit around Ceres , the celestial body Big asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, for the first scan of a world Dwarf .

Dawn will not be in contact with Earth when the event occurs; Drivers receive confirmation that all went well several hours later.

“I really dramatic explore this exotic alien world,” the mission chief engineer Marc Rayman, said in the Laboratory Jet Propulsion NASA.

Dawn will spend the next 16 months taking pictures of the icy surface of Ceres to determine if active.

The ship Dawn was launched in 2007 on a trip to the main asteroid belt.

That area is dotted with rocky debris that caused the formation of the Sun and planets makes about 4,500 million years.

On the way to Ceres , the probe sent enigmatic images of world Dwarf before arriving, where two bright areas appear inside a crater that could correspond to concentrations of ice or salt.
