These new species have close relatives in size, color and DNA, according to researchers from Ecuador, Peru US and published today in the journal ZooKeys .
These lizards belonging to the genus Enyailoides, living in tropical rainforest in the Amazon and Andean cloud forests like.
“Finding these three new species is surprising because they are among the largest lizards and very colorful forests of South America” , say the researchers.
In this type lizards not have much knowledge, and probably the diversity of these animals underestimated.
