China launched its most sophisticated satellite observation, Gaofen-9 – La Razon (Bolivia)

China today launched its most sophisticated satellite observation, Gaofen-9, capable of taking pictures with a resolution of less than one meter.

As reported the official Xinhua news agency, the satellite was launched from the launch pad of Gansu in northwest China, at 12.42 pm (4.42 GMT) aboard a carrier rocket Long March-2D.

The captured by the satellite will be used for urban planning, road design, agricultural programs and emergency aid.

It was developed by the Academy of Aerospace Shanghai and can also help in national strategies and the initiative “a belt, route,” the Beijing project to connect Asia and Europe through an economic belt, and national defense.

Gaofen-1, the first satellite in the series, was released in April 2013.
