The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has a message for Donald Trump: stop dividing people

But now, when I look around and travel around the world, I’m starting to see people and nations look inward, going against the idea of a connected world and a global community. I hear voices of fear to call building walls and distancing of people who qualify as “other”. Some in the world seek to block freedom of expression, to curb immigration, reduction of trade, and in some cases even cut internet access.
value is required to choose hope over fear, to say that we can build something and make it better than ever before. You have to be optimistic that you can change the world. And people are always going to call you naive, but is this hope and this optimism which is behind every important step forward.
Our lives are connected. And if we receive refugees fleeing war, or immigrants seeking new opportunities, if we are uniting to fight global diseases like ebola or to address climate change, I hope we have the courage to see that the way forward is bring people together, not separate it. Connect more, no less.
