A team led by Ala Khazendar, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA, found that the vast Larsen B ice shelf in Antarctica is melting rapidly and is likely to disappear completely by the end of this decade, communicates a new NASA report.
“While scientists is fascinating to have the opportunity to see from the front row as the ice shelf becomes unstable and divided, is bad news for our planet” , Khazendar said. “This ice shelf has existed at least 10,000 years and will soon disappear”
