SEOUL (EFE) – The South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics revealed on Tuesday details and photographs of Gear S2, the first SmartWatch with circular design, which presented this week in Berlin.
The new smart watch Samsung is displayed publicly for the first time on September 3 at an event in the German capital, a day before it starts IFA technology fair to be held from 4 to 9, the company said in a statement released at its headquarters in Seoul.
Samsung , which so far has not revealed a possible date of release of the product, the fair will watch both versions: S2 and Gear S2 Gear Classic.
The original version presents a more simple and modern design and is available in silver and dark gray, while the S2 Gear Classic only offered in black and has a more similar to a traditional bracelet watch appearance, including leather belt.
In addition to its circular dial, unlike the rectangular design of its predecessor the Gear Gear S S2 presents as a novelty highlighted the ability to navigate through the operating system and mobile content turning the bezel to the left or right.
With a thickness is 11.4 mm, the smart watch Samsung has a Super AMOLED screen of 1.2 inches and is equipped with a card e-SIM It allows the user to stay connected to the smartphone to a remote distance without Bluetooth.
The Gear S2 works with OS Tizen Samsung , has wireless charger and the battery lasts two to three days without recharging, depending on the characteristics product announced today by the company.
With this new model, Samsung looking to stand up to Apple, which currently dominates the market for SmartWatch with more than four million units sold until its successful Apple Watch.
