All you need to know about the GPS and the Apple Watch Series 2 – CNET in Spanish

The new Apple Watch Series 2 boasts built-in GPS, so you can leave your iPhone in your house or in the locker room of the gym during a workout. The clock will be in charge of doing a follow-up of all the important details. Previously, you had to have your iPhone near to the watch could capture your location information using the global positioning system (GPS).

The first time that I started training with the Series 2, I was hoping to find some kind of button or indicator on the GPS to let me know that the system was active. It turns out that when you’re specific workouts and your iPhone is not near, your Apple Watch Series 2 automatically keeps track of the training session using GPS.

there is Not a button or setting you need to worry about, it just works, as I would say Steve Jobs. The workouts that monitors the clock via GPS include:

  • Hiking in the outdoors
  • Outputs to run
  • open water Swimming
  • outdoor Cycling

once you’ve completed an exercise routine and your Apple Watch becomes to connect with your iPhone, you can view your GPS data when you open the app Activity. Then, slide down until the session Workout to see your full year.
