Moscow .- The remains of Russian cargo ship Progress M-27M, which it deviated from its orbit after being launched nine days at the International Space Station (ISS), will fall tomorrow Friday on Earth, the Russian space agency Roscosmos reported on Tuesday.

According to expert estimates of Roscosmos, the cargo ship, launched on April 28, will cease to exist on May 8, approximately between 00:45 and 06:36 Moscow time (three hours behind GMT), the space agency said.

indicated that the Progress completely burn in the dense layers of the atmosphere of Earth and only a few small fragments will reach the Earth’s surface.

The freighter, with nearly 2.5 tons of supplies to the International Space Station, was released on 28 April from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, but was placed in the wrong orbit and stopped sending data to Earth.

After several failed attempts to regain control of the Progress, the Russian technicians found that the freighter turned at high speed on its own axis, preventing any attempt to maneuver to approach and dock with the ISS.

As a result, the freighter began to fall uncontrollably Earth from orbit where it had been placed.
