They marketed “Smartphone” that will be handled with eyes – EntornoInteligente

marketed “Smartphone” that will be handled with eyes / The New Journal / Tokyo, May (EFE) .- The Japanese mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo announced today that it will market in late May the first “smartphone” with iris recognition technology that will unlock the terminal or make payments. The NX Arrows F-04G model developed by Fujitsu Japan uses a front camera and an infrared LED infrared light to illuminate the eye of the user and checking their unique iris pattern. This biometric identification technology can replace conventional passwords to perform actions such as unlocking the terminal, registering applications and make payments via mobile phone only with eyes. Nothing launch is only confirmed in Japan. A part of this pioneering technology, mobile runs on Android 5.0 operating system Lollipop, has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and 5.2-inch screen. Last March, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the Japanese company said its eye recognition technology is ten times more accurate than fingerprint detection. Other companies, such as China and South Korea’s Samsung Live are working to incorporate similar techniques to their devices. EFE
