Can you believe that I say in a tone of Squirrel or despite it’s just because no one invited me; however, this is far from reality. There were a couple of invitations and urgings (thank you very much Roberto Aguirre ) for my legs stepped on again Las Vegas. I preferred my shoe was at the foot of the Christmas tree and wait for the Magi to go to the Consumer Electronic Show (CES).
Unlike excited to be in those macroevents full of snobs and retacados releases, shows and demos. Not worth going on a free transfer is only recommended when sending a battalion. Moreover, in recent years the CES has become a show car and screens, smartphone or curiosities of Asian firms. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but there are other fairs that show redskins less silly and more productive.
While there are always nice exceptions, such as launching WeDo Robotics Kit 2.0 Lego, designed for elementary school children. This is a game with the famous pieces to put together, but now includes motors and motion sensors with bluetooth connectivity. Oh, if we could bring (do not ask create) inventions like this in the country, surely we would see science and technology as prosperous.
We need to follow the example of other countries where the quality of life is closely linked to investment in research. We are among the OECD countries that allocate fewer resources to research and development. Moreover, in nations like the United States, Korea and the UK much of the research resources come from the private sector. In developed economies the private sector provides 80 percent of the investment for science and technology. In Mexico the figure is only 20 percent, so the weight is greater for the government. Overall we continue to see this sector as something curious or nerds .
The science and technology in Mexico are like the airplane that runs on the track to which you have not yet adequate fuel injected. So if we go to Las Vegas to see many redskins unproductive or away from the Mexican reality, what are we going?
