Asus has presented this morning at the Computex trade show Tawian a handful of new products among which the ZenPad 8 tablet and smartphone ZenFone selfie . The tablet is especially strange: it has interchangeable covers for adding speakers or extra battery.
The new tablet, the ZenPad 8 Z380C (shown below) is an Android device with 8-inch IPS display (1200 x 800 resolution) and two versions to choose from 1 and 2 GB of RAM and between 8GB and 16GB of storage. On the front of the processor uses the new Intel Atom SoFIA X3. Android 5.0 comes with Lollipop.
Perhaps most interesting of this new tablet are the accessories that accompany it, namely interchangeable back covers that not only change the appearance of the team, but add extra battery (taking the total duration to 14 hours) or another with six speakers with whom in theory get DTS-HD 5.1 surround sound.
8 Z380C ZenPad addition, Asus has introduced another variant, the ZenPad S 8 (Z580CA, pictured below), a team with IPS LCD screen of 8 inches and more resolution 2048 x 1536, i.e., a ratio of screen exactly like the Cases Mini. It comes with Intel processor, 4GB of RAM and a choice between models 8, 16 and 64GB of storage. Currently there is no official price or availability date for tablets, we will update here as soon as it is known.
Phones for selfies
The mobile for selfies looked more like a temporary fever marketing (maybe it even), but not Asus. The company has also introduced a new smartphone designed for that, for self-portraits. It’s called ZenFone selfie and is a mobile Android 5.5 Inch 1080p. In specifications it is virtually equal to ZenFone 2 except for the camera.
has a front rear camera (f / 2.0) and (f / 2.2) 13 megapixels . The back adds laser autofocus and front a viewing angle of 88 ° for those selfies group crowded into the socket. At the moment there is no information on price and availability, but will update here as soon as it is known.
