From Kaspersky Lab announced they have identified a new Trojan targeting Android devices. His name is Triada , and can be compared to Windows malware as it acts stealthily and steady.

Triada is designed to infect Android devices, mainly between versions 4.4 .4 and earlier, and the victims, so far, are mainly in Russia, India and Ukraine.

This new threat uses Zygote, the creator of process applications on an Android device, and is able to run Android applications without the user noticing. Triada is implemented in almost all work processes and remains in short term memory. You can modify outgoing SMS messages sent by other applications, for example, so when making purchases using SMS can modify the code to change the destination of the money.

Your name, triad, is because it’s three mobile trojans working together: Ztorg, Gorpo and Leech. They can escalate their privileges to almost all devices and is almost impossible to remove this malware from a device, it can only be rooteando the device and removing malicious applications manually (also possible to jailbreak and delete it that way.)

from Kaspersky report that the detection of this threat called Trojan-Downloader.AndroidOS.Triada.a; Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.Triada.a; Trojan-Banker.AndroidOS.Triada.ay Backdoor.AndroidOS.Triada.
