Apple will measure your health and automate your home with iOS 8 – Digital Journal Juárez

San Francisco- Apple Inc. introduced new features to connect the connected home and measure the health of the iPhone software and the iPad, the iOS 8 setting the stage for a busy second half of the year, as the company seeks to accelerate its growth.

Apple yesterday launched the latest in its annual software developers conference in San Francisco.

The software includes

HealthKit, which allows people to monitor their health and acts as a data center for fitness applications and HomeKit, including home automation elements that allow people to control locks, doors garage and the lights through their devices.

The company also showed storage products and sending files, as anticipated direct competition with Dropbox, and an updated version of its Mac operating system called Yosemite.

As smartphones and tablets proliferate similar shapes and designs in the world, Apple, Google, Samsung and other technology companies focus on product differentiation through software and services running on the devices.

The launch of their new tools shows how Apple is increasingly positioning their devices as a center for the life of the people.

“Our operating systems devices and services work together in harmony, “said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Call from the Mac

The new Mac software has a feature called Handoff, what which simplifies the job of documents between Macs, iPhones and iPads. It also includes ways to receive and make calls from the Mac if an iPhone is charging or not available.

To show new ways to make a phone call using a Mac, Federighi called Dr. Dre using computer with updated software.

“I can not wait to go to work for Apple equipment,” said Dr. Dre during the call.

The event follows the announcement last week that the company will buy Apple headphones and music streaming Beats Electronics LLC-founded by rapper Andre Romelle, known as “Dr. Dre and music producer Jimmy Iovine-3 billion dollars, another move to boost growth.

Apple said its new mobile software will be available this fall.
