US .: Paleontologists find new skeleton T-Rex in Montana – Teletrece

Paleontologists working with the Museum of Natural History and Culture Burke of the University of Washington, Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered a very complete skull.

The finding that includes about 20% of the animal’s bones , contains vertebrae, ribs, hips and jaw bones.

the team discovered the T. rex during an expedition to the Hell Creek formation in northern Montana, an area that is known worldwide for its sites with dinosaur remains.

Initially, two volunteers, Jason Love and Luke met Tufts pieces of fossilized bone coming out of a rock formation. When digging, the team realized that the bones belonged to a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

A video of the bones was published in the Facebook account of the Unviersidad.

the remains, which have more than 66 million years are one of the best preserved so far.

The skull has a length of approximately 1.2 meters and weighs more than 1 ton. And according to estimates by scientists, the dinosaur was about the size of a bus and was about 15 when he died.

The discovery was made public through a statement from the website of the university of Washington.
