Tips to see the lunar eclipse tonight - ABC.es

This Thursday April 25th will occur the second shortest lunar eclipse of the century. Be partial, so only a part of our natural satellite will remain in darkness. Its maximum will occur at 22.07 CET and will be visible from class=”c6″> . Here we give you clues and tips to follow astronomical event easily.

– What time will produce the maximum darkness?

The maximum eclipse will occur at 22.07, CET Spanish. Will occur as follows:

-First contact with penumbra: 20:01:26. Not visible, the moon is below the horizon.
-First contact with the shadow: 21:50:23. Visible.
Maximum eclipse: 22:07:21. Visible.
Last contact with the shadow: 22:24:19. Visible.
Last contact with penumbra: 00:13:16 on 26 April. Visible.

– Why say it is biased?

Because only a portion of the moon will pass through the dark shadow cast by the Earth. We must be aware of the area N of the Moon, which is precisely the small part of the moon that will be covered by the shadow of the Earth during those 34 minutes, the rest of the lunar surface will look as if there were an eclipse.
