astronaut European Space Agency (ESA) and current crew of the International Space Station (ISS), Luca Parmitano has captured a spectacular image of Earth from the dome of the orbital module, which shows our planet in all its immensity.

“The proof that the Earth is round,” Italian astronaut posted on his Twitter account with the picture.

ISS Dome is a prime location for astronauts where they can relax and admire the Earth, as reported by the ESA in a statement. This corner of the space station has large windows and high quality optics, which has become a great platform for scientific research .

There, cameras equipped with powerful lenses , they are always ready for use and astronauts can react much faster to specific requests for monitoring the atmosphere and Earth Observation .
