It took off at 11h51 GMT (8h51 Kourou time) Sinnamary, French Guiana, to orbit two satellites at an altitude of 23,222 kilometers. The mission will last about four hours
Galileo is a project emblematic of the European Commission and aims to reduce dependence on the US GPS, improving services to users thanks to its high accuracy.
