SpaceX successfully launched the rocket Falcon 9 – ElHeraldo.hn

Miami, USA

The US company SpaceX managed to land its Falcon 9 rocket on Monday for the first time, an unprecedented event in space history motivated by the attempt to reduce costs and transforming waste into reusable rocket ships.

SpaceX successfully launched the Falcon 9 in order to carry 11 satellites to low Earth orbit, and then managed to return to Earth the first body the launcher.

The rocket took off at 20H29 (01H29 GMT Tuesday) from Cape Canaveral, Florida. A few minutes after launch, the rocket’s first stage – which gives it its power off – broke off and began to return to Earth, while the second body was propelling satellites into space

. Thanks to engines subsided fall rocket the first body landed lightly upright 11 minutes after takeoff, I was through the images of the operation broadcast live on the company’s billionaire Elon Musk.

This is the first time an orbital rocket achieves a controlled landing.

“I still can not believe it at all,” Musk said in a conference call after landing.

“I think it’s a revolutionary time. No one ever managed to recover an intact orbital launcher” he said.

The rocket reached a height of 200 kilometers before returning to Earth and landing on a exbase test rocket and missiles of the US Air Force was not used since 1978.

The second body of the rocket achieved in the next few minutes largar 11 satellites in ORBCOMM communications company to low Earth orbit.

“We confirmed the first step of landing the Falcon,” SpaceX tweeted.

“All 11 satellites ORBCOMM were deployed in nominal orbits”

NASA also welcomed the achievement.

“CongratulationsSpaceX by its successful vertical landing of the first stage back on Earth!” wrote the US space agency said in a tweet.

Falcon 9 rocket retrieve the first body will allow SpaceX to save money, because currently the components of these devices cost millions of dollars and often end up as waste after each launch.

In other cases have already failed several rocket landing attempts on floating platforms in the ocean, but SpaceX ensures that every attempt has taught them more about how to succeed in the future.

Last month, Amazon founder and owner Blue Origin rocket company, Jeff Bezos announced that managed to land successfully after rocket New Shepard suborbital flight.
