MEXICO CITY (CNNExpansión) – space exploration company SpaceX, the billionaire Elon Musk, receive 1,000 million dollars (mdd) in financing Google and investment firm Fidelity.
This investment places SpaceX with a valuation of around 10,000 billion. New investors will control 10% of the shares of the company, according to a company statement issued Tuesday.
Google and join Fidelity Founders Fund, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Valor Equity Partners and Capricorn as investors.
The rumors of a possible investment in SpaceX Google began earlier this week, when different websites specializing in technology mentioned the interest of the Californian firm in the technology space exploration.
Fidelity is a financial services firm founded in 1946 and since then has specialized in investing in tourism industries, telecommunications and computing centers worldwide.
SpaceX is the company’s Aerospace Exploration Musk, co-founder of PayPal and one of the most recognized in recent years technological visionaries. SpaceX Musk founded in 2002 and has since developed two rockets, Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 further Dragon spacecraft.
On January 16 Musk published in network Twitter photographs and videos of the failed landing his ship Falcon 9 in the Atlantic Ocean as this in which he said “Close but no cigar this time.”
