A recent report by the famous analyst KGI specializing in Apple , Ming-Chi Kuo , says iPhone could suffer major design changes in 2017 . You could replace the metal chassis in favor of a glass body plus an OLED screen. Due to the scheduled date for the change we might see this design change on the iPhone 7s, which break the tradition that the ‘S’ models odd years not make major design changes .

Kuo believes that Apple will abandon the aluminum completely and opt for a glass body all because the appearance of the metal will not be modern or novel in 2017. it is well known that the current competitors Apple and are adopting aluminum design on their phones , so the company may want to differentiate themselves with completely new materials.

Kuo does not explain what the new design iPhone all glass, however we have seen that Apple has used glass on the front and back of the iPhone 4 / 4s but there was a stainless steel strip in between. So we have to imagine and keep dreaming of possible designs filtered.

in turn, this new iPhone glass would have a new display technology OLED providing more lightness and a slimmer design , which offset the weight increase glass to metal. Another fact that confirms the presence of these new screens is that last week Apple had reached a millionaire agreement with Samsung to supply OLED displays from 2017 so it looks like the great design change iPhone will arrive in 2017.

for this report you can wander the idea that the iPhone 7 will not have an update design full , as in previous leaks we saw one resemblance to the iPhone 6 / 6s . Certainly, the next major update to the iPhone design will not see light this year, but what we will be the double camera for better images , although rumors have indicated that this be exclusive iPhone 7 Plus .

remember that 2017 iPhone fulfilled 10 years , which can make us think that Apple could make a big surprise. Similarly, this event could lead the company to skip the tradition of the S models and design something totally different to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its flagship product.
