Apple

The company has reached an agreement with the operator’s largest mobile phone from China, China Mobile – with 763 million subscribers – to sell their iPhone 5s models and 5c in the Asian giant from 17 January 2014, as reported by CNN.

“China is an extremely important market for Apple, and our partnership with China Mobile gives us the opportunity to bring the iPhone to customers in the network world’s largest mobile phone,” explained CEO Apple, Tim Cook, said in a statement.

Apple and China Mobile, who have not given details on the agreement, announced the opening of orders begin on Wednesday.

Even before the signing, analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald estimated that between 35 and 40 million people had an iPhone associated with China Mobile. Now, it is expected that Apple would sell 20 to 24 million more phones in the 12 months following the agreement today.
