Scientists will soon begin experiments on the comet – The Universal

European scientists hope to soon be able to do experiments on the surface of a comet that is going at full speed after a probe which landed on its surface for months “woke up” this week.

Barbara Cozzoni, engineering control center of the probe at the German Aerospace Center, told reporters Wednesday at the Paris Air Show, a major air show that the information obtained from brief transmissions of Philae probe 13 and June 14 being deciphered.

He said scientists “only got good things,” adding that the solar panels are gathering energy Philae and the internal temperature of the spacecraft is in the correct range.

Mark McCaughrean, advisor to the European Space Agency (ESA), said scientists need a stable communication link with the spacecraft to start making experiments, not only on the comet, but also about the origin of life on Earth .
