95 percent of Android phones can hack – El Colombiano

A leading mobile security company found a vulnerability that affects about 950 million phones with Android operating system around the world

The company Zimperium Labs revealed Monday in his blog the security flaw that affects phones that have flooded the market in the last five years that have Android version 2.2 up 5.1 , in view of the delay Google to solve the problem.

The flaw involves the researchers explained how the phones with this system analyzes the messages received, even before the message is open, the phone automatically processes the multimedia files you are receiving.

This means that the virus can be activated even when the phone user sleeps, unlike others where the victim has to open a PDF file or a link sent by the attacker. In this case, while the owner of the phone wakes will be removed for any sign that the device is at risk.

But despite the seriousness of the problem, the security company said that so far have not reported cases in which it was used the gap to steal information.

So far Google has developed a patch to fix the flaw , which was sent its various partners who are responsible for making available to users the update.
