Facebook no longer display updates to your ex – El Nuevo Diario

On Thursday, the social networking site Facebook said it is beginning to experiment with new tools to define what communication within the same platform, a former partner. Thus, when the user changes his relationship status to indicate it is not paired with another user, Facebook will offer help seeing updates and comments from that person within the social network, and will define what the other person sees our activity on Facebook.

The company is testing these functions in version for mobile devices in the US, but plans to offer them to the rest of the world in the near future.

price-fixing profiles on Facebook

Have you ever wondered what it’s worth your Facebook? Apparently, depending on your nationality, sex and age may assign a price to your account.

Two researchers at the Carlos III de Madrid, Spain University, said the social network charges advertisers more or less depending on the factors mentioned above.

For example, a Spanish worth half a US and launch advertising millenians (group of young people born in the early 80s to the early years of the last decade), will almost always be more expensive than doing an adult.

However, in England or France profiles of people over 50 are more expensive because it is very interesting for brands public.

In general, a Western profile costs more than an Asian or Latin American.

How to fix prices?

To reach these conclusions, researchers Angel and Ruben Cuevas Rumín, twins, developed a tool, Personal Data Valuation Tool.

Personal Data Valuation Tool based their research on a cluster of computers that analyzes more than 30,000 randomly selected profiles.

The tool collects data that can differentiate where you are, where you live and some tastes determined by your activity on Facebook.

Through them, the researchers tracked the profiles as if they were her personal brand.
