Four senior executives leave in the midst of turbulence Twitter – Financial Journal

Four senior executives leave the company Twitter media, CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted, the biggest change in leadership since Dorsey returned as CEO in a struggle to revive the growth of the company.

The head of Media, Katie Jacobs Stanton; Product director, Kevin Weil; the head of the engineering division, Alex Roetter, and the head of Human Resources, Brian “Skip” Schipper, will leave the company said.

Addressing what he called rumors press praised Dorsey four executives and said he was very sad to announce their departures.

Twitter shares have fallen almost 50% since the return of Dorsey last year and are now selling below its opening price bag, amid concerns that the company has failed to significantly increase its user base despite a faster pace of product launches under the orders of Dorsey.

The Sunday night Jason Toff, who directs the streaming service Twitter, Vine, tweeted that he also left to join Google Twitter. The tweet of Dorsey, however, did not mention it.

In a conference call on the results held in October, Dorsey spoke about “hiring and investing in talent.”

Twitter may announce other executive changes, including the hiring of a new director of Marketing, according to a source familiar with the matter. The company will soon announce two new board members, said the person.

Dorsey also tweeted that the director of Operations, Adam Bain, will assume additional responsibilities as a result of exits, including Products and equipment Resource Human.

The technical director Adam Messinger handle the engineering team, said.

Slower growth

Weil, Stanton, Schipper and Roetter are among the highest output level in recent months, but several executives have left since the Twitter co-founder Dorsey took over as interim CEO in July.

Dorsey, who is also CEO Square technology company, has yet to devise a detailed analysis of what you want to do differently Twitter plan.

Weil has been on Twitter since 2009, although it only has served as head of Product for about a year. It has often served as a spokesman for the company, giving lectures and making reference to new developments on the site.

Stanton, meanwhile, joined the company in 2010 and was tasked to grow its audience outside the US. He previously worked at Google and Yahoo, as well as the White House and the State Department.

Twitter, which has just over 300 million users, had its slowest growth in 2015 was overshadowed by Instagram, owned by Facebook, which exceeded 400 million users in 2015.
