A programmer 9 year old girl was distinguished by Apple – La Voz del Interior

An Indian 9 year old girl who learned to program applications for mobile devices following tutorials on YouTube was distinguished by the technology company Apple who invited her to move from her home in Australia to the United States to participate in the Developers Conference Apple (WWDC, for its acronym in English) that began Monday and will run until tomorrow in San Francisco.

the girl Anvitha Vijay created an application on animals for iPad and iPhone which he called “Smartkins Animals” and which applied to a scholarship to attend the Worldwide Developers Conference Apple, the daily USA Today in its web edition reported.

the owner of the company, Tim Cook, distinguished Vijay as the youngest developer to attend the WWDC, which involved nearly 350 high school students and university invited by Apple for free.

“There is much to learn”

in the WWDC, scholarship winners get to attend sessions of coding and programming, and mixed with application developers to learn from the more experienced .

Vijay said “it was like a dream to be here and meet so many people,” adding that “I have only touched the tip of the iceberg in coding, there is much to learn.”

the girl began programming at age 7 through tutorials on Youtube videos, and motivation to build the application was teaching her younger sister how to identify the names of animals.

your developments

Vijay used Xcode an Apple program for creating mobile applications, and development records “a few hundred downloads”.

She is working on a new application, GoalsHi, to give students more confidence in the classroom. He used a language programming Swift Apple to work on the new application and intends to test Playgrounds Swift, a new version of the software easier that Apple introduced at WWDC.
