Spotify breaks the barrier of 100 million users – El Financiero

The Swedish music company in streaming already has more than 100 million monthly users.

Spotify revealed its latest update users to the British publication The Telegraph. The figure is about 11 percent higher than the 89 million users who had signed until late last year.

According to the report, Spotify added each month 1.8 million users to its service, of which 30 percent are premium users, or those who pay about 10 dollars for the service without advertising.

In a recent leak of a financial document explained that the company’s revenue last year totaled 945 thousand million.

Premium account users contributed thousand 744 million, while advertising or free service only provided about 10 percent or 196 million euros.

the Telegraph said the news in the increase of users of Spotify is given under the announcement of the investment bank GP Bullhound that places the service streaming as the European startup with higher value. According to the institution Spotify value is 8.5 billion dollars.
