Soyuz landing capsule carrying three astronauts from the International Space Station – Teletrece

A Soyuz capsule bringing back three astronauts from the International Space Station, including the first representative of the Government British, landed safely on Saturday with a parachute in the steppe near the town of Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan .

the crew, which included a Russian and an American also British Tim Peake , left the space station three hours before, after spending half a year in orbit.

Peake smiled when examined by flight surgeons and told reporters he was enjoying “the aromas of the Earth” and fresh air, a sharp contrast to the artificial atmosphere and high temperature inside the capsule.

beside him was the commander Yuri Malenchenko , who quickly put goggles to protect your eyes from the midday sun, and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra .

Peake, a former Army major who served 44 years aboard the station, was on a mission of the European Space Agency and became the first astronaut to carry the British flag on his arm.

the first British space was Helen Sharman, who flew on a Soviet aircraft for eight days in 1991.
