May 2016 also beat world record heat

Havana, June 14 (RHC) A report by the National Administration Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) stated that the month of May this year also broke records in temperature, reaching a global average 0,93ºC above the average of the reference period (1951-1980).

official data from agencies such as NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration US) and the World Meteorological Organization will be announced in the coming days but it seems that this May 2016 has been the warmest of its kind since records began (1880) and also will become the thirteenth consecutive month of record temperatures bat on a global scale.

at the current rate, it seems increasingly clear that 2016 is on track to become warmer in recent history of the planet year, surpassing 2015 which until now held the record.

the disappearance of El Niño, about two months ago, does not seem to have slowed the warming global; although it is true that according to data from NASA’s record May temperature is slightly lower than had marked the months of February, March and April.
