Samsung sues Huawei for infringing six of its patents – El Universal

The South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics announced today that it has sued Chinese justice to his great competitor in this country, Huawei, considering that infringed six of its patents on telecommunications networks and storage systems data.

the legal initiative of Samsung is a new chapter in the battle to remain in the courts of several countries the first mobile phone manufacturer in the world with Huawei, third globally by sales volume.

The company based in Suwon infringing accuses his Chinese rival six of his registered on technology data transmission for mobile phones, digital storage and patent systems image processing, among others, said in a statement quoted by the news agency Yonhap.

in his note, Samsung also accused Huawei of filing “unreasonable demands” against it and criticized the company for infringing its registered for smartphones and tablet designs.

that same day, Vice President of the intellectual property division of Samsung, Ahn Seung-ho, said the company planned to take legal action against Huawei to “defend its business interests,” he told South Korean media.

Huawei decided to take the case to court after failing an agreement with Samsung in negotiations on eight patents for wireless network standards and four on smartphones, explained the Chinese company founded in 1987 in Shenzhen.

During the first quarter, Samsung remained the global leader of mobile phones with 81.8 million units sold and 23.2 percent of the global market, followed by the US Apple ( 14.8 percent) and Huawei (8.3 percent).
