Xiaomi launches competition MacBook half price – Milenio.com

The Chinese company Xiaomi, known for its smartphones, has just entered the world of computers with its new model. My Notebook Air

The computer, very similar the Apple MacBook is made of gold or silver aluminum and is available in two versions, 13.3-inch and 12.5. The largest model is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 940MX, RAM 8GB memory and SSD (solid state drive for its acronym in English) 256GB with the possibility to expand to more.

Meanwhile, the 12.5 inch model is equipped with an Intel Core M3 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD memory with the possibility of ampliarse.Y although it seems that both size and performance it is the smallest model, it is in the battery which manages to overcome the 13.3-inch model.

The company claims that the 12.5 inch model is equipped with a battery capable of lasting up to 11 hours while the battery model yields only 13.3 9 hours.

Both computers have a backlit keyboard, a screen 1080p Full HD – unlike the retina screen MacBook- and its design does not include the logo of Xiaomi on the outside of the computer.

the computer weighs 1.07 kg 12.5 inches, while 13.3 reaches the 1.28 kg. The smaller model will cost 3,000 499 yuan, that is about 9 000 800 pesos, while the largest will be 4000 999 yuan, just over 14 thousand pesos, almost half the price of Apple model.

Both devices will go on sale next August 2 only in China and there are no plans to bring the rest of the world.
