Apple has found a manufacturer alternative for chips who carry their iPad and iPhone, which no longer depend on its rival Samsung Electronics Co. According to reports from the Wall Street Journal , the company had signed an agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) to manufacture these microchips from 2014.

Samsung will be the main supplier until next year , but the U.S. company has already stopped buying iPhone 5 screens to Samsung and has reduced iPad.

a decade ago both companies were ideal partners, but that ended when idyllic began selling Samsung smartphones and compete with Apple. The claims and counterclaims have occurred in recent years, and since Apple claim that this dependence harms their products.

TSMC plans to start mass production of chips early next year. This advanced technology used “20 nm” , to get chips smaller and more energy efficient. Both companies have two years trying to get to a collaboration, but Apple asked about quality and performance requirements for which TSMC has struggled.
