30% of online viewers leaving traditional TV - The País.com (Spain)

30% of people who used internet connected television abandons traditional television. For video fans online, the flight increases to 40%, according to the first study IAB Spain , on the connected TV Internet.

video online achieves a 96% penetration among Internet. Film and foreign series is the most relieved, followed sports and national series. Youtube (71%), sites with content on demand (32%), Google TV (14%), Yomvi (12%) and Wuaki (11%) are the most used.

The main apparatus to see this content is the computer (81%), followed distantly by other devices (smart TV, smartphone or tablets) with a penetration of 12%.

interacting with online video is emerging (20%) and do it via computer (70%) and smartphone (57%), usually through social networks.

19% of video users online has paid to see contents, and one in two would be willing to watch ads before the content.
