Berlin. (AP). – The European Space Agency says its investigation GOCE satellite fall to Earth on Sunday night or during the day on Monday, but is unlikely that the remains cause any damage.

Scientists say

1,100 kg satellite already fallen at an altitude of 170 kilometers and is constantly downward spiral.

Once you reach an altitude of 80 kilometers, the satellite will hit earth observation and four-fifths will burn in the atmosphere.

ESA

said Friday that humans have 250,000 times more likely to win the lottery than be struck by debris weighing up to 90 kilograms that can survive the disintegration.

GOCE was launched in 2009 to map the Earth’s gravitational field. It ran out of fuel last month and put an end to the mission.
