iOS 8: the main criticisms of the new jewel in Apple | Trade … – Trade

Not everything is rosy in the iOS 8. Cupertino company became one of the biggest updates to its mobile operating system and still have things to polish. These are some of the criticisms that have been found in the new jewel of Apple.

1. The ability to ask.
The update, in itself, seems to be complicated. Not only because you asked about 1.1 GB of free space to install it, but also because it required us to have an extra space of about 5GB. Even some websites say that this required space ranges from 4.7 up to 5.8GB. One solution is to upgrade the operating system through iTunes on your computer (or delete the hundreds of photos you have there).

2. Using battery
According to International Business Times, the performance tests give different results. On iPhone 4S, iPad mini or iPod Touch, the battery time is enlarged with iOS 8, but the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c 5s iPhone, iPad 4, iPad Mini Retina, can lose up to nearly 20 minutes of battery life. We have it on an iPhone 5S and we see that the battery is too resentful. We also have this function that indicates which application is swallowing our battery, and that helps.

3. Upgrading from the iPhone 4S.
all the fault of the screen. The iPhone 4S was the last to have a 3.5-inch, but the iOS 8 is designed for larger screens, so some applications will leave little room to write. The other, of course, is speed.

4. You can not have everything.
We begin to think that the new iPhone 6 has elements of hardware that let you use applications like Health (“Health”, for which update in Spanish), which monitor everything you do and make this data related to your lifestyle. Obviously the above devices do not have that kind of hardware. This not only limited to the apps, but operating system functions.

5. iCloud Drive.

E iOS l 8 has an interesting new feature: the ability to sync through iCloud Drive your documents between different devices. All good if you want to sync between your phone and iPad, but how do to sync with your Mac or Macbook if this feature is only enabled for OS X Yosemite, which will only become available to the public in October
