BlackBerry has just launched its new square smartphone, the BlackBerry Passpor. The new model was launched simultaneously in Toronto, London and Dubai.
The device is about the size and shape of a passport, a large square touch screen and a keyboard. BlackBerry recently completed a restructuring three years. John Chen, chairman of the frima, wants to prove that new devices and services of the company are able to generate new sources of sustainable income.
The phone will go on sale in select markets, with a price $ 599 in the United States, about 468 euros. BlackBerry expects the price, together with the operators on contract, to be about 195 euros, depending on the company, and the phone should be available in more than 30 countries later this year.
