Microsoft CEO says its market share in smartphones is “unsustainable” – Teknofilo

In a recent interview, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, said that the market share the company has in smartphones is “unsustainable”.

However, it has argued that its goal is to create a world in which the device less important compared with the services to which the user can access.

I think we hurt ourselves if we measure our success just looking at what is the market share of HoloLens? What is the market share of Xbox? What is the market share of PCs? what is the market share of our phones?

If you imagine it as a diagram, these devices are . Sometimes the user nodes use all these devices … sometimes they use only one or two of our devices and use other platforms – so be it. But we must ensure that we are providing a good experience in all of these devices.

The research firm Gartner in its latest report has revealed that market share of Windows on smartphones is only 1.7% , 50% less than it was in the third quarter of 2015.
